I met Paul and Myra first last year at our studio when they were looking for a photographer who will shoot them. Initially, their plan was to be wed during holy week of 2009. That’s this week. When I heard about that, I immediately asked them, “nagluluksa na ba kayo?”… we all just laughed it off…The officiating priest had something to say about that too and in the end they decided to move their wedding to April 1. Guess what? It’s April Fools. Who would’ve thought, right?

When I got the chance to interview them about how these two met? It was really sweet. They were college friends and both felt something for each other but destiny just didn’t let them be together yet. Years later, God made a way for them to bring back their connection. And the two just hit it off. What I was really amazed about these two was how they thoroughly planned for their wedding. Every account was being counted and they did it for 1 or 2 years.. They were even able to buy a place with that amount of time. How great was that?

We invited, prayed and 23 soon to be wed couples took our wedding challenge!!! We posted and advertised getting couples to gear up and work out the real details of their marriage. Guess what? The whole day seminar brought nothing but heart felt realization of what Marriage truly is in God’s design.

We got excited to meet and discuss issues that real couples should discuss before marriage: God’s Design, Roles of husband and wife, Financial Stewardship, sex, communication and love languages….

All 23 soon to be weds – got all these gifts for taking the bold step:
1. Real marital issues – answered and resolved
2. Friendships with other soon to be weds
3. Sweet treats from other suppliers that gave freebies such as free engagement pictorial, choco fountain, hosting, overnight stay at hotel, brides journals, bridal magazine and other gifts…

JB and Tere are friends of mine way back since college. We were classmates at DLSU and we took up ECE. Yes, Engineering! and NO, I didn’t flunk out college FYI =P. God just brought me to a different path in my career and Im loving every bit of it…Back to JB and Tere, their love story was such a cute and funny one because everything started out just from “tuksuhan”. We were just surprised that in the end, JB did really pursue a relationship with Tere and they looked really adorable together.  Every couple have their terms of endearment and these two call each other “Aking Honey”…. (right guys?).. Anyway, This was the first wedding I attended this year as a guest and it was just fun to be shooting as non-official. No pressure whatsoever… But I made sure I brought my photographer’s etiquette with me. =)
