Some Good News and Great News…

“O Lord, You are God, You have promised these good things to Your servant” - 1 Chronicles 17:26

All great things come from God and that is why I wanted to blog about this…First up, last March 16, 2009, I received a love letter from our mentor  John Ong and it was really a great surprise for all of us who received it. For those who don’t know, our apprenticeship program consists of quarterly check-ups from our boss and we show him a slideshow of our shots in mixed weddings, 1 wedding and engagement shoots and have it critiqued. Nothing escapes his eye you know. =) And so, I am just so blessed and happy to share that we’re being promoted to Senior Photographers. Wahoooo…. What a Joy!

For all the couples out there, the Great News is, this March 28 and 29, we will be at the Martha Stewart Bridal Fair at World Trade Center, East Pavillion. We will have lots of promos and freebies for those who will book us on that date. This will also be the last hurrah for my Good News package so for all those couple interested in booking me, book us before April 1 to get us on our existing rates.

Vic + Chiara’s Wedding

Preps + Reception: Taal Vista, Tagaytay

Church: San Antonio de Padua

HMUA by Aaron Lejarde of The Make Up Studio

Coordinator: Chinkie Agregado of Eventscape Planners

Video by Jason Magbanua

Shot with John Mateos Ong and Dianne Capili for Imagine Nation Photography

This was my 3rd straight wedding shoot last January and I was just recovering from my coughs and colds. God was just gracious giving me the strength to cope up with the master himself, John Ong. =P. Jason Magbanua was also there to cover Vic and Chiara’s wedding and I was really looking forward to see them at work.

On our way to Tagaytay, we watched some creative inspirations to feed our juices and I was excited to apply all those ideas…  Here goes some of them…

Vic’s real name is Victor Hugo and you can just imagine people asking him everytime, “Are you related with the famous Novelist? (The Hunchback of Notre Dame author)”. And nope, he’s not related with the author…

I loved the silhouette of Chiara while she was entering the church.

Ninoy + Cherrie’s E-Session

Venue: Marikina

Make-up by: Jesy Alto of The Color Artistry

Hair by Steve Pagsanjan

Shot with Carlo Cecilio for Imagine Nation Photography

This got to be one of my hair-raising experience in an engagement shoot. Everything was perfect including the weather that day. We met Ninoy and Cherrie at their condo unit at Marikina but we just missed Jesy and Steve when we arrived there. When we got inside, the room was full of toy collections and I was able to take a picture of what’s inside. Apparently, Ninoy is an avid collector and he had a room dedicated only for his toys. The rest was at his parents house.

Ninoy was very shy in front of camera but everytime he looks at Cherrie, you can just feel the love…
